Key Concepts: A Framework to
Guide Our Approach

These key concepts are meant as a springboard for the new way we are going to think about social work practice.  Specifically, these key concepts are intended to help to frame your thinking about the ways in which macro, mezzo, and micro practice intersect, and how those intersections are essential to understanding social work practice.

As you go through the key concepts, think about how they apply to various forms of social work practice, and how they can help us to bridge the divide between clinical social work practice and macro practice/policy.

Furthermore, think about the ways in which these core ideas can help to shape a social work practice that is more grounded in activism and more actively engaged with larger systems that impact our clients on a daily basis.
